Trigonox® D-E50 is an initiator for the (co)polymerization of ethylene, styrene, acrylonitrile and (meth)acrylates.

Styrene Polymerization Trigonox® D-E50 can be used for suspension polymerization and copolymerization of styrene in the temperature range of 90°C to 130°C. The polymerization of styrene can be carried out at temperatures ranging from 0.5°C to 1.3°C. During the polymerization process, the temperature is gradually increased. The polymerization of thermally initiated and Trigonox® D initiated (0. 08 mmol/100 g styrene) styrene in a batch process was compared using a typical temperature scheme (110-140-180°C).
