Trigonox® D-E50 is an initiator for the (co)polymerization of ethylene, styrene, acrylonitrile, and (methyl)acrylates.
Applications
Styrene Polymerization: Trigonox® D-E50 can be used for styrene suspension polymerization and copolymerization in the temperature range of 90°C to 130°C. During the polymerization process, the temperature is gradually increased. Using a typical temperature profile (110–140–180°C), a comparison was made between thermally initiated and Trigonox® D-initiated (0.08 mmol/100 g styrene) styrene polymerization in a batch process.
