Trigonox® 82-30BA is a peroxide mixture (30% diluted with butyl acetate) specifically developed for curing coating resins.
Applications
Butanox LPT-IN is a methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) used to cure unsaturated polyester resins at room temperature and high temperatures in the presence of a cobalt accelerator. Compared to most other peroxyketones, Butanox LPT-IN has a significantly longer gel time, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring extended gel times or production lead times, such as the production of large parts and fiber winding. Butanox LPT-IN is also of particular interest in areas with high ambient temperatures. Butanox LPT-IN is particularly recommended for curing vinyl ester resins. This MEKP formulation produces less “foaming” than standard MEKP. Years of practical experience have demonstrated that Butanox LPT-IN guarantees low moisture content and is free of polar compounds, making it highly suitable for GRP products, such as marine applications. The low hydrogen peroxide content of Butanox LPT-IN makes this peroxide ideal for curing gel coats that are prone to microporosity caused by hydrogen peroxide decomposition. For room-temperature applications, it is necessary to use Butanox LPT-IN in combination with a cobalt accelerator (such as Accelerator NL-49PN).
