Trigonox® 77C is a specialized peroxide mixture designed for high-temperature curing.
Applications
Trigonox® 77C is a peroxide mixture used for the high-temperature curing of unsaturated polyester resins. Trigonox® 77C can be used as a substitute for Trigonox® C in the curing of thermoset molding formulations (SMC, BMC, etc.) based on UP resins. ) and electrical insulating varnishes within the temperature range of 100–170°C. Trigonox® 77C is less sensitive to reducing agents such as metals, metal-based pigments, fillers, or amines than peroxyesters like Trigonox® C. Therefore, the curing time for hot-press molding formulations or electrical insulating varnishes initiated with Trigonox® 77C is significantly longer than that for formulations initiated with peroxyacrylates (such as Trigonox® C). Trigonox® 77C exhibits reactivity comparable to that of Trigonox® C at high temperatures. The reactivity of Trigonox® 77C cannot be enhanced by the addition of cobalt accelerators.
