Trigonox® 77C is a peroxide blend for the curing of unsaturated polyester resins at elevated temperatures.Trigonox® 77C can be used as a substitute for Trigonox® C in the curing of UP resin based thermo-compression molding formulations (SMC, BMC, etc.). ) and electrical insulating varnishes in the temperature range of 100 170°C. Trigonox® 77C is less sensitive to reducing agents such as metals, metal-based pigments, fillers or amines than peracids such as Trigonox® C. Therefore, the use of Trigonox® 77C is not recommended. As a result, thermo-compression molding formulations or electrically insulating varnishes can be initiated at much longer temperatures with Trigonox® 77C than with peracids such as Trigonox® C. Trigonox® 77C shows comparable reactivity at high temperatures to Trigonox® C. The reactivity of Trigonox® 77C can also be improved by the use of a higher temperature range. The reactivity of Trigonox® 77C cannot be improved by adding cobalt accelerators.
