Trigonox® 63 is a peroxide mixture containing MEKP and acetylacetone peroxide for curing unsaturated polyester resins in the presence of cobalt accelerators at room and elevated temperatures. It is faster than Trigonox® 61 and Butanox® M-50 and slower than Trigonox® 44B.

Trigonox® 63 is a mixture of organic peroxides containing methyl ethyl ketone peroxide and acetyl acetone peroxide for curing unsaturated polyester resins in the presence of a cobalt accelerator at room and elevated temperatures. With the curing system Trigonox® 63/cobalt accelerator faster curing speeds can be achieved than with Butanox® M-50; however, the high cure rates achieved with Trigonox® 44B are not possible. Gel times for Trigonox® 63 are generally similar to those of Butanox® M-50. The curing system Trigonox® 63/Cobalt accelerator is particularly suitable for the curing of laminated resins and for applications that require shorter demolding times than those obtained with Butanox® M-50. In addition, in contrast to the curing system benzoyl peroxide/amine accelerators, it is possible to manufacture light-resistant parts.
