Trigonox® 21LS is a peroxide formulation used for curing unsaturated polyester resins at high temperatures.
Applications
Trigonox® 21LS is a peroxide formulation based on tert-butyl 2-ethylhexanoate peroxide, designed for curing unsaturated polyester resins at high temperatures. Trigonox® 21LS is the preferred choice for curing UP resin-based hot-press molding formulations (SMC, DMC, BMC, etc.) within the 120–160°C temperature range. Because Trigonox® 21LS is a highly reactive peroxide, it is well-suited as a foaming agent in pultrusion and SMC/BMC formulations and can be used in combination with peroxides such as Trigonox® C and Trigonox® 29-B50. Compared to Trigonox® 21, Trigonox® 21LS offers longer shelf-life stability without compromising cure speed, even when iron oxide or carbon black is used as a pigment.
