Trigonox® 178 Red is a slow-reacting MEKP/CHP blend used to cure unsaturated polyester matrices at room temperature, designed to suppress exothermic reactions in thick or heat-sensitive parts.
Applications
Trigonox® 178 Red is a convenient premixed initiator suitable for curing unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, and acrylic thermosetting resins with metal salts under ambient conditions. Trigonox® 178 Red generates less exothermic heat than standard MEKP, making it suitable for warm and hot climates. Applications include cast polymers and laminates.
