- Trigonox 17-40B-PD-AM is a bifunctional peroxide used for the following applications:
- Cross-linking natural rubber
- Cross-linking synthetic rubber
- Cross-linking polyolefins
- Safe processing temperature: 125°C
- Typical crosslinking temperature: 160°C
- Organic peroxides are thermally unstable substances and may undergo self-accelerating decomposition.
- Self-Accelerating Decomposition Temperature (SADT): 60°C
- Since organic peroxides are relatively unstable, quality loss may occur over time.
- To minimize quality loss, a maximum storage temperature of 30°C is recommended.
- Under the recommended storage conditions, Trigonox 17-40B-PD-AM remains within specification for at least 6 months after delivery.
- Trigonox 17-40B-PD-AM is packaged in non-returnable cardboard cartons, each with a net weight of 50 pounds.
