Perkadox® 24L is a polymerization initiator for the production of vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, (meth)acrylate and HMS-PP.

Perkadox® 24L is used as an initiator for the suspension polymerization and the polymerization of vinyl chloride at temperatures in the range of 45°C to 65°C. Perkadox® 24L can be combined with other peroxides such as tetramethylbutyl 1,1,3,3-neodecanoic acid peroxide (Trigonox 423), isopropylphenyl neodecanoate peroxide (Trigonox 99), or lauroyl peroxide (Laurox) to improve reactor efficiency. Perkadox® 24L has low water solubility and low vapor pressure for fast and uniform distribution into the monomer. Important properties when producing PVC resins with low fisheye content and narrow particle size distribution and when keeping autoclaves free of skin and scale.
